Hi, I’m Kathleen, a therapist and life coach.

What I love most about the work I get to do is watching the people I’ve come to know so well and care for so much transform into glowing, confident go-getters of life! I feel overwhelmingly grateful for the opportunity to get to know some truly incredible people and share a small part of their amazing journeys.

Credentials & Background

I completed my master’s degree in counselor education at the University of New Orleans, a 3 year CACREP accredited graduate program, in 2014. During that program, I had the honor of interning for 1 year at a residential addiction treatment facility, where I was mentored by amazing counselors and had the opportunity to gain experience helping families, adolescents, and individuals on a wide range of issues.

A native of New Orleans, I moved to Colorado in 2015 and have enjoyed working with clients there, as well as across the U.S. and internationally, for the past 10 years. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and have held certification (NCC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors since 2014. In addition to working as a licensed professional counselor, I have had the pleasure of spreading awareness around mental health and support services through my role as a graphic designer and social media content creator for the past 5 years.

Approach

Everyone is different, and needs different types of support at different times in life. As a therapist and coach, I understand the importance of tailoring our time to what works best for you - and staying up to date in training and education so that I can provide whatever you need effectively and competently.

My style has been described as a nice bridge between person-centered therapeutic processing and solution-focused coaching.

I am trauma and somatic therapy-informed, and utilize tools and interventions from: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Existential Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Approach, and Intuitive Eating Therapy, to name a few. Together, we’ll use these research-driven approaches to overcome old patterns that are holding you back, successfully reach your goals, and create the life and relationships you crave.
